The quiet and solitude of the lands around Cogan House and North Lodge make a superb backdrop for archery. Whether practicing with targets or hunting with bow and arrow, the serenity of the landscape makes your trip an experience to remember. One of the things that is notable about hunting in our fields is the absence of noise. There are no sounds from traffic, people or towns, nothing to interfere with your hunt or practice.

Cogan House and North Lodge hunting areas are private, providing your party with exclusive access during your hunt. And with our self-guided hunting capabilities, you can hunt at your own pace. Deer and turkey are plentiful in the area, so you can spend the morning or whole day hunting. When your hunt or practice is done, come back to relax and refresh at the lodge.

The Regional Archery Center for Excellence and the National Field Archery Association’s national office is only 20 minutes from Cogan House—making our lodge a great place to get away for practice or quiet place for friends and family of participants to stay during training or competitions. It is also a great place for beginners to practice, so bring the whole family.
